Brief Description
The purpose of this course is to provide delegates with a full understanding of the current legislation associated with lifting operations and provide a thorough understanding of the correct methods of inspection to identify faulty or damaged equipment. Candidates will be instructed on the correct methods of using rigging equipment to move loads with offset centre of gravity, and use cross hauling methods. An individual assessment to determine learning outcomes and competency will be prepared for each delegate.

A comprehensive programme to provide a full understanding of the LOLER requirements.

Introduction to lifting accessories and all commonly used equipment associated with Rigging Operations. Delegates will be taught inspection, correct use of equipment, utilising recommended rigging methods to move various items. Equipment used includes chain hoists; pull lifts, tirfors, beam clamps and trolley clamps. |

Day three |

As part of the final individual assessment delegates will be required to plan, inspect equipment and undertake responsibility for four – six separate tasks of rigging operations. |

Location and Duration
The duration of this course is two and half days. The course is a combination of both theory and practical content. This course is delivered at Onsite Training Services centre in Dyce, Aberdeen or at client’s premises. |
