TRAINING COURSES - OPITO APPROVED OFFSHORE DRILLING GREENHAND TRAINING

Brief Description

The purpose of this course is to prepare new starts for seeking employment in the offshore industry. Individual elements of the training will include Introduction to Drilling Operations, Working Safely, Manual Handling, COSHH, Working at Heights, Helicopter & Helideck Safety and the OPITO approved Banksman Slinging course (separate OPITO standard and certificate). During the training programme delegates will gain an awareness of the lifestyle, variety of duties and safety risks associated with working offshore.

Location and Duration

The course is covered over a duration of two or five days depending on delegates obtaining the OPITO Banksman Slinging certificate.

The course is a combination of both theory and practical content. This course can be delivered at Onsite Training Services centre in Dyce, Aberdeen or at client’s premises.

Pre-requisites

Not applicable for this course but delegates must confirm that they have reached the legal age of 18 to work offshore.
